Community
Faith grows in community.
Our church is a place for people to come together in service, fellowship, and praise to God. We stick with each other through hard times and celebrate our successes together as a church family. Here are some of our groups and special events - check our events page for more information about the next potluck, Bible Study, or youth event!
All-Church Fellowship
Don't miss our free 5th Sunday breakfast at 9am before worship. The only agenda of these breakfasts is to come together to enjoy a meal and the company of friends.
Each year we celebrate the Autumn cool-down with a hot dog roast at Blackhawk Park. While the dogs are cooked, we enjoy one another and relish the good food that comes from our various kitchens.
Small Groups
Our Presbyterian Women share time together in Bible Study and for different ministry efforts. One of their circles is The Cover Girls, a group of women who gather each Tuesday for hand-quilting and sewing together. Contact the church office for news about our womens' Bible study groups, or join us for a May Brunch or Christmas Dinner celebration!
The Deacons care for our community through homebound outreach, mission donations, and funeral support. They show love to our congregation throughout the year, from cards to Christmas gifts.
For Wednesday evenings, we gather for an extremely casual brown-bag dinner and conversation. We enjoy the time between choir rehearsals by sharing dessert, socializing, and catching up with whoever happens to be around that evening.
Youth Group meets from 11-1 on the first and third Sundays of the month. Youth and kids from kindergarten up are invited for lunch, a lesson, and an activity. Some of our favorite events include bowling, the CROP Walkathon, and video game tournaments!
Learning and Thriving Together
Children's Sunday School meets 2nd - 5th Sundays from 10:15 to 11:00am. Children age 3 and up are are invited to begin the worship hour in the sanctuary. Before the sermon, children will head downstairs for lessons, crafts, and Bible stories that share Jesus's teachings. The teen class is more focused on discussion, journaling, and exploring how to live out our faith in today's world. After Sunday School, everyone joins the rest of the congregation for coffee hour. Juice and cookies are a hit with our youngsters!
At many points throughout the year our children and youth will enjoy different parties, fun events, field trips and the opportunity to participate in presenting aspects of worship to the larger congregation. Don't miss our Summer Family Festival!
Adult Lunch & Learn series are scheduled throughout the year. Join us for a simple meal, Bible study, and discussion. Check out the Events page to see upcoming series!
