Welcome to First Presbyterian Church of Milan!

Sunday services are being held inside and begin at 10am.

We understand that not everybody is ready to worship indoors at this time. You can also worship live with us on our Facebook page or YouTube page. Whether you worship with us in person or online, we're glad to praise God with you! If you have a prayer request or concern, please reach out to Pastor Katie.

To protect our congregation, our in-church worship gatherings will have set safety protocols.
Congregants are required to wear masks inside the building and stay six feet apart. There will be no singing during the service, as the CDC has strongly urged this due to singing spreading germs further. We will still print the words of two verses of each hymn in the bulletin so that you can read them as Charla plays the organ. We will try to have recorded music for the anthems each week, as well as welcoming instrumental music before the service.

We will alter how we do communion, purchasing pre-made kits with both bread and juice. They will be placed on a table outside the sanctuary for everyone to pick up along with the bulletins. Deacons will set this up using gloves. Responsive readings will be done by the worship leader and interim minister, with no congregation members participating. Again, this is to prevent germ spreading.

The ushers will dismiss the back row of worshipers, then the next and the next, so that there is no gathering in the Narthex or Fireside Room. We are to go directly to our cars following the service to minimize social contact.

All attendees must sign a waiver form EVERY TIME THEY COME TO THE CHURCH. The purpose is so that we would be able to contact trace who was at a particular service if one of our parishioners develops coronavirus. Our insurance agent tells us that our liability is greatly reduced by these measures that we have taken. There is no insurance against COVID-19, but these steps will help to protect our church family.

We are a people of Christ who seek to Celebrate the love of God and Reach out the hope of Christ!

We celebrate the Love of God through worship, praise, learning, and our joyful support of one another.

We reach out the hope of Christ through our many mission projects and our participation in the community and into the world.

We hope that through these pages you will come to see how we live this vision and learn a bit about us.  Please hear our invitation to you:  Come and experience these things for yourself. Join us in our worship or other activity very soon!

God is good! Blessings to you.
